Border Trade Alliance urges General Services Administration back to the drawing board on Bridge of the Americas plan in El Paso

The Border Trade Alliance filed comments on Nov. 4, 2024 with the General Service Administration opposing the agency’s recommendation that commercial truck traffic should be removed from the Bridge of the Americas in El Paso.

We cite our concern that banning commercial traffic at BOTA will lead to increased freight costs, increased congestion at reliever bridges and supply chain disruptions, among other issues.
