BTA seeks meeting with Gov. Abbott as border situation deteriorates, congestion compounds around ports of entry

The Border Trade Alliance on December 29, 2023 sent this letter to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott about his administration’s continued enhanced inspections of commercial vehicles entering Texas at Eagle Pass from Mexico. The inspections are slowing shipping and increasing congestion, compounding the pain already inflicted by the federal government’s closure of International Bridge I.
