WASHINGTON – Border Trade Alliance President Ms. Britton Mullen released the following statement regarding the Trump administration’s pause of new tariffs on Mexico and Canada:
“Pausing tariffs on Mexico and Canada brings a sigh of relief for the cross-border trade community, even if for only a month. We’re confident the U.S. and its neighbors will engage in a productive dialogue over the next 30 days to ensure our shared borders remain secure and economically competitive.
“We look forward to progress between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico so that our three nations can continue to achieve the promise of prosperity under the USMCA.”
